NoCo Places Receives Non-Profit Designation

After eight years as a coalition of public land managers, NoCo Places is transitioning to a non-profit model. The organization received its non-profit designation on February 12, 2026.

The existing members remain the same, but more opportunities to get involved are now available. Organizations can now become partners, sponsors, stakeholders, or members. Learn more

As an official 501(c)(3) organization, NoCo Places can now accept donations that go towards programs, operations, and stewardship-focused communications.

Along with the new non-profit status, the organization launched a new website and brand refresh. “The new website and branding better reflect who NoCo Places is today, and provide us with a more robust platform for our programs and communications,” said Katie Matthews, Communications Manager for NoCo Places.
